Dr. Anissa Sharifi is a Licensed Pediatrician in the State of Georgia, and has been practicing medicine for almost 40 years. She started her medical career in Kabul Afghanistan at the University of Kabul, where she graduated from in 1964. She attended medical school at the Marcinkowski Memorial Medical Academy in Poznan, Poland. After completing her residency in the Community Hospital for Children and Poland in 1976, she then traveled back to Afghanistan to practice medicine at the Institute of Child Health Care Hospital in Kabul. When war broke out in Afghanistan, she traveled to Pakistan in 1981 to work with the Austrian Relief Committee for Afghan Refugees as a physician. She traveled to the United States of America in 1983 and began her career at the Georgia Department of Human Resources as an Interpreter and Health Counselor, she started working as an Epidemiologist for them in 1985. In 1986 she attended Emory University School of Medicine for her residency, and graduated in 1990. Dr. Sharifi is both licensed and board certified in the State of Georgia in Pediatrics and affiliated with American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, and also the Medical Association of Georgia.
